The 3M™ PELTOR™ System Control Unit, SCU-300, is the core of the 3M™ PELTOR™ Tactical Modular Audio System (TMAS). The SCU can handle multiple radios with multiple channels. In addition to a standard wired connection, the SCU-300 lets you experience a cable-free connection between the SCU and compatible headsets. The SCU can be remotely operated via the remote control unit - RCU (included).

Single, DUAL, and Multi COMMS configurable. The SCU can handle multiple radios, with multiple channels. In such scenarios, the user is able to select one of three preset sound profiles: Mix, Split and Surround. The SCU-300 lets you experience a cable-free connection between the SCU and compatible headsets (3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac VII, and 3M™ PELTOR™ Tactical Earplug, TEP-300).The SCU utilize Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI), for wireless transmission of audio to headsets. The steep degradation of NFMI signal strength as a function of distance increases privacy and reduces issues with interference compared to traditional wireless technology. The SCU can be remotely operated via the remote control unit - RCU (included).The RCU allows an operator to push transmission without having to remove their hand from the weapon system.

3M™ PELTOR™ Tactical Earplugs, features environmental listening function - a capability designed to help provide auditory situational awareness, while still helping provide protection from hazardous noise. It comes with multiple sizes and types of replaceable eartips, designed to help provide hearing protection. The small size makes 3M™ PELTOR™ Tactical Earplug compatible with most headborne Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as helmets, eye wear, and respirators. Wireless utilizing near field magnetic induction, 3M™ PELTOR™ Tactical Earplugs, TEP-300 can be wirelessly connected to the 3M™ PELTOR™ System Control Unit, SCU-300 (not included). The control unit is designed to accommodate different radios systems in a wide range of configurations, with, up to, 3 communications inputs. The Airborne Wave Relay System (AWRS) is a custom built, self-contained Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) ready to be installed in aircraft. AWRS has received a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installation in fixed-wing aircraft. The 3M™ PELTOR™ ComTac™ VIII Headset helps protect your hearing and can help promote auditory situational awareness and communications in challenging environments. Some versions are equipped with a downlead cable for connection to a radio via a push-to-talk (PTT), and a noise cancelling speech microphone for communication in noise.

The 3M™ PELTOR™ FL7000 PTT has been designed for dual communications utilizing multi-channel or two single-channel radios. The PTT features a smaller footprint, simple, rugged, non-powered design for durability and reliability in harsh environments.
Audio Management switch (Select models) enables users to select between:
Mix: Radio communication(s) are heard in both left and right ear.
Single: Radio communications will be split between the left and right ears.
Push to Talk can be secured to the body using a rotatable clip, fixed clip or zip tie loops.Multi-Comm Operation: Two-button design allows for communication on two single channels, or one multi-channel radio.Tested in accordance with applicable sections of MIL-STD-810H and 461G.EUD interface, for seamless integration with mobile devices available on select models.
